There is a new wonder supplement in Japan nowadays that is known for its wonderful health benefits. Learn about this healthy food from below and be surprised how a simple thing can work wonders for your health.

What is Nattokinase?

Nattokinase is an enzyme extracted from natto, which is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. It appears to be in a white and crystalline powder form. It has been used to prevent cardiovascular diseases.

Four functions of Nattokinase:

1. To prevent and dissolve thrombus

Nattokinase has been proven to be an effective natural fibrinolytic enzyme that successfully dissolves thrombus associated with cardiac and cerebral infarction. The properties of nattokinase also resembles that of plasmin, which is one enzyme in the human body that can dissolve clots. Nattokinase not only helps dissolve these clots, but it also helps the body to naturally fight blood clots by increasing the production of plasmin and other clot-dissolving enzymes.

2. Antibacterial activity of natto antibacterial effect

Nattokinase has antibacterial effects against typhoid bacilli and amoebic dysentery. In the past, natto, where Nattokinase is derived, has been used for its medicinal properties, which treats typhus, dysentery and other intestinal diseases. It has also been known to supress the disease-causing pathogen, salmonella bacteria, in the intestines.

3. Prevent osteoporosis

Natto, contains an exceedingly large amount of K2, which is essential in bone formation, when combined together with calcium, vitamin D3, and gamma glutamic acid. People with osteoporosis have reportedly low amounts of K2, and those without the bone disease have a high level of K2. This just proves that those who consume Nattokinase from natto,  has a lesser chance of developing osteoporosis. Also, people from Japan, with a high consumption of natto, have lower rates of bone breakage and lower chances of getting osteoporosis.

4. Antioxidation

Nattokinase is a potent antioxidant that prevents the development of free radicals that may destroy healthy cells. Soybeans, where natto is derived from, contains anti-carcinogens such as phytoestrogen, and a flavanoid ingredient called infrabin. These substances are said to be effective in preventing uterine, kidney and breast cancers. It is also reported that Japanese men and women are not prone to such cancers because of their high consumption of soybean products.

Nattokianse’s side effect:

Nattokinase is not recommended for those people with anemia and have a regularly low blood pressure. The effects of Nattokinase may further lower your blood pressure and this can result to dizziness and nausea. This is also not advisable for pregnant women, and those with stomach ulcers.

Again, it is a reminder for everyone that everything has its own limitations. Nattokinase may work just as well with the others, while some may not feel its effects. If you are still interested to try and learn about it, ask your local drugstore where to buy Nattokinase. This drug may not work as you intended it to be, but it sure has plenty of benefits, which you can enjoy too.
